Music Blogs for Indie, Post-Punk and Psych Bands in 2026: 79 Active Outlets From Our Press Archive
As of 7 November 2026, 79 of the music blogs and magazines that have written about a Tapetown session or record since 2015 are still publishing: each had a new post within the last six months. They are listed below by region, with the bands they wrote about and the date of their latest post. The list comes from our press archive of 328 independent articles in more than 120 outlets, so it leans towards the music we record and mix: post-punk, shoegaze, psych, garage, noise and indie rock.
This is not a ranking, and nobody paid to be on it. The column "Wrote about" shows which of the bands from our sessions and records each outlet covered, which says more about their taste than a genre label does. The outlets that wrote about our sessions most often are Destroy//Exist, The Joy of Violent Movement, We Love That Sound, GFR, Nordic Music Review and We All Want Someone to Shout For.
How to use this list
Read a few of an outlet's recent posts before you write to them. The bands in the table show what they liked before, not what they cover today.
Write to each outlet on its own, with a short personal email and a private link. A mass mail to the whole list is easy to ignore.
Time it. In our archive, 71% of the follow-up articles about a live session came within four weeks of the release, and 79% of all the articles came from outside Denmark. The numbers are in How Music Blogs Cover Live Sessions.
Check each site for how it wants to receive music. Many use a contact form or a submission platform, and some have stopped taking submissions.

How we checked
Where the outlets come from. Every outlet here published at least one independent article about a Tapetown session or a record made at Tapetown between 2015 and 2026. The archive behind it, and what counts as independent, is described in How We Counted.
What "active" means. On 7 November 2026 we read each outlet's RSS or Atom feed, or its homepage when there was no feed, and took the date of its newest post. An outlet counts as active if that post is from 7 May 2026 or later. Four sites could not be read by script, so we checked them by hand.
Who is not on the list. 122 outlets were checked and 43 are left out:
23 had no post in the last six months, or no post we could find.
6 covered us mostly through a paid submission platform. That is a different thing from an editor choosing to write.
5 domains are now parked or used by unrelated sites.
2 are not independent of us: Sound of Aarhus, our former premiere partner, and welovelo-fi, which has the same writer.
1 blocks automated checks: Last Day Deaf, with 16 articles in our archive. It may well be active; check it yourself.
6 others: three wrote only about the studio, not about bands, plus a database, a radio station, and one magazine whose feed we could not verify.
Limits. The "Wrote about" column only shows Tapetown sessions and records, not everything an outlet has covered. Dates are the newest post we found, not a promise that an outlet is reading submissions.
FAQ
Which music blogs still write about new indie bands in 2026?
79 of the outlets in our press archive published in the last six months (checked 7 November 2026). The ones that wrote about our sessions most often are Destroy//Exist, The Joy of Violent Movement, We Love That Sound, GFR, Nordic Music Review and We All Want Someone to Shout For. The full list by region is on this page.
Which blogs write about shoegaze and post-punk?
In our archive, the active outlets that wrote about Catch the Breeze, a shoegaze band we recorded, are Destroy//Exist, We Love That Sound, Nordic Music Review, GAFFA, Drowned in Sound, Good Because Danish, AudioFuzz, Apostillas Desde La Disidencia, It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine, Shoegazer Alive and WhiteLight//WhiteHeat. The active outlets that wrote about our post-punk sessions (The Murder Capital, Iceage, Bambara, Moaning) are Destroy//Exist, The Joy of Violent Movement, We Love That Sound, We All Want Someone to Shout For, Son of Marketing, Analogue Trash, La Caverna, CHILLFILTR, Indie Is Not A Genre, O Felino and Various Small Flames.
How do you know these blogs are still active?
We read each outlet's feed or homepage on 7 November 2026 and kept the outlets with a post from the last six months. The method is under "How we checked" on this page.
Why is a blog I know missing?
The list only includes outlets that wrote about a Tapetown session or record, and it leaves out outlets with no recent post, paid placements and sites we could not verify. It is not a list of every music blog.
Do music blogs credit the engineer?
Rarely. In our archive of 328 articles, only 3% named an engineer. More in How Music Blogs Cover Live Sessions.
