Rasmus Bredvig

Mixing engineer and founder of Tapetown Studio

Rasmus Bredvig mixes indie, alternative, punk rock and post-punk with raw energy and bite. His approach keeps the grit, movement and character of a performance intact while giving the mix focus and impact.

He founded Tapetown in 2011 and leads its live-session mixing. Based in Denmark, he mixes projects recorded at Tapetown and recordings sent by artists elsewhere.

A mix with character

The starting point is your song and what you want to keep from the rough mix. That might be an abrasive guitar, a vocal with a rough edge or a rhythm section that pushes and pulls. The aim is to shape the sound around those choices. Rasmus works across indie and alternative music; the sound you want determines whether his approach fits the project.

Working with Gustav

Rasmus and Gustav Scheel both mix indie and alternative music. They collaborate on selected projects when the music calls for Rasmus’s edge and Gustav’s smoother, more spacious approach. Their shared work includes Tapetown live sessions with shinyhunt and deathcrash.

Send your rough mix

Send a rough mix, a couple of references, the number of songs and your intended release date. Tell us what you want the record to feel like and what must survive the mix. We agree the scope, files, revisions, delivery dates and quote for each project before mixing begins. You can work with Tapetown remotely from outside Denmark.
