Hailing from Tijuana, Mexico alternative shoegaze band MINT FIELD toured the USA with Ulrika Spacek before embarking on their European tour covering countries such as Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, UK and France amongst others.
The band had recently recorded their new EP that was duo to come out following the concerts across Europe and USA. Before their show in Aarhus at local venue Atlas the band came by the recording studio for a live session of some of their new songs off of the upcoming EP.
This is the song 'Jardin de la Paz' taken from the live in studio session the band did here at Tapetown on Lydhavnen.
Swirling guitar patterns, soft and chanting vocals, laid back lo-fi drums beneath intricate bass themes most of the time ranging from soft indie to noisy fuzz alternative.
This band was a pleasure to have in the studio, they were all very pleasant people and talented musicians. It's nice to see an upcoming band peeking through the underground, which is the came with these artists. Having played Coachella as well as having their record label send them on world tours to promote their release is nice for any band, and its especially a pleasure when they're coming out of Mexico, where you don't often see many great artists emerge into the American and European "mainstream" or at least underground scene.
The song 'Ella Se Queda' taken from the live session where they recorded a handfull of songs all from the upcoming EP
We hope to see much more from the band in the future and next time they are touring Europe and swing by Denmark or Aarhus, we will definitely do another recording with them.
