Before we start on the concrete floor and install underfloor heating, we first have to remove all of these old tiles. They are part of the original building, from back when it was used as a warehouse and later as a workshop. Our plan is to reuse as many of the tiles as possible. Most of them will be used for storage areas along the side of the building, as well as forming the foundation for a small outdoor stage just before the fall begins.

It’s so exciting to finally be able to share the news that TapeTown is expanding and will become one of the biggest recording facilities in Denmark. With around 200 square meters, we’re building what we hope will mark a brand new era for TapeTown. Over the last 15 years, TapeTown has become one of the go-to studios in Scandinavia for recording and mixing indie and alternative music, and this new space is a natural next step for us. Join us over the next couple of months as we build a brand new recording studio from the ground up and share the whole process along the way.
